  1. This area of the window is used to list the installed synths (drivers).

  3. Double-click on a synth name to open the Library window for that synth.
  4.  
  5. Click once on a synth name to select that synth.  Both the `PROJECT'
  6. menu `IMPORT' item and the `MIDI' menu `GET FROM SYNTH...' item use
  7. the synth (driver) that is highlighted in "The PatchMeister" window.
  8.  
  9. If you need to adjust a synth's MIDI route, hold down the left mouse
  10. button while pointing to one of its MIDI route numbers.  The number will
  11. turn white and the pointer will disappear.  Continue to hold down the
  12. left mouse button and move the mouse up to increment, down to decrement.
  13. Release the mouse button when the correct value is displaying.

  15. S-Ch  ==>  Sysex Communications Channel.  Make sure this channel matches
  16.            the channel of the instrument you want to communicate with.

  18. Ch    ==>  Audition Channel.  This channel is used for the "Note On"
  19.            commands generated by "The PatchMeister".  This channel will
  20.            more than likely be the same as the `S-Ch' channel.  However,
  21.            some synths (i.e.  Roland MT-32) use one channel for Sysex
  22.            Communications, and a different set of channels for "Note On"
  23.            commands.  Make sure this channel is set to match the channel
  24.            on which your synth will respond to "Note On" commands.

  26. In    ==>  MIDI In.  Bars&Pipes Pro users may select a MIDI In port.

  28. Out   ==>  MIDI Out.  Bars&Pipes Pro users may select a MIDI Out port.
  29.  
  30. P-Bay ==>  Patch Bay MIDI Channel and Patch Bay Program Number.  If you
  31.            are using a patch bay, make sure the MIDI channel matches the
  32.            channel that your patch bay is listening to, and that the
  33.            program number is the program (patch) that will establish the
  34.            proper MIDI route to this synth.
